Concrete5 CMS Developers

Concrete CMS, also known as Concrete5, is built on a well-structured, object-oriented PHP framework. The code structure in Concrete CMS is organized in a way that promotes modularity, extensibility, and ease of development.

The structure in Concrete CMS encourages separation of concerns and extensibility, allowing developers to create custom functionality, themes, and blocks while leveraging the core system's capabilities. Its modular design simplifies maintenance and upgrades, making it a popular choice for developers seeking flexibility and scalability in their content management systems.

Concrete CMS Upgrades

Running an older version of Concrete CMS, or still on legacy Concrete5? Out-of-date installs miss security patches, stop working on supported PHP versions and lose access to the modern editing tools in version 9. Our Glasgow team has been upgrading Concrete sites since the 5.x releases, including full migrations from Concrete5 5.6/5.7 to Concrete CMS 9.

Every upgrade follows a tested process: a full backup and staging copy, an audit of your theme, add-ons and custom blocks, updating or rebuilding anything incompatible, content migration where a direct upgrade isn't possible, and testing against current PHP before go-live. The result is a secure, supported website with no lost content and minimal downtime.
