Celcis Website eCommerce Development

Celsis, a company funded by the Scottish government and supported by the university of Strathclyde, wanted to, instead of relying on a 3rd party ticket market place, sell their event tickets on their own website. Celsis felt that handling all the purchases themselves would give them much more control over each order, also, dealing with the eCommerce payment transactions, through their in-house payment gateway, would allow them to easily and quickly process and divert funds to the needed parties.

They wanted this service to be implemented into their already built, Concrete5 website.

The first decision we made was to use Concrete's 'Core Commerce' package as a starting point, as it is well documented and we have used it many times across many different and diverse projects with little to no problems. The core commerce package gives us the ability to add Celsis's own custom payment gateway to the checkout process. The site was fully re-developed using the latest version of Concrete CMS.
